There is a series of walks (two so far) under the heading of Lost Lanes of Gower on the Gower Society website. The most local one covers a circular walk starting at The Britannia, up Coal Lane, then upstream the Burry Pill until the “Roman Bridge” and then along the Toll Road from Landimore back to the Brit via the hollow way to Nottle and then down to cross the river by the modern stepping stones. Its worth a read and then a very pleasant local walk.
